Matt joined the firm in 2017 and has since worked on a Calvin Klein renovation project, the Columbia GSAPP feasibility study, the refresh of Knoll’s New York Showroom and Office, the University of Virginia’s Campbell Hall addition study, the Frederic Church Center, Mtn Hive, and led the design for the Barnard College Center for the Study of Child Development. Currently, Matt is overseeing the renovation of an independent pre-K-12 school in Brooklyn. This project is crucial in providing essential space for a dynamic community of students, teachers, and staff. Matt’s diverse background encompasses architectural and graphic design, influenced by his training in painting, sculpture, book arts, large-scale installations, and scenic design for theater. His work has garnered recognition with exhibitions and publications in Architectural Review, the Cambridge Architectural Journal, the RISD Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, and Documenta 14. Matt actively contributes to ARO’s involvement in the CityTech Pre-Internship Program. He holds a B.F.A/B.Arch from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Architecture from Yale.
