ARO is hiring at a Project Assistant/Junior Designer level to join our collaborative, research-driven practice engaging diverse clients and communities on current projects including public schools, universities, non-profit organizations and cultural institutions. Candidates must have a professional degree, 2-3 years of relevant work experience, and be well-versed in using Revit and Rhino in a professional setting.

ARO is hiring a Registered Architect to join our team. Responsibilities include: prepare/coordinate detailed drawings, plans and design progress sessions relating to architectural and structural features of buildings. Utilize knowledge of building materials, engineering, and architectural practices to operate computer-aided drafting and BIM software to produce designs, layouts, drawings, charts, forms and records. Analyze building codes, zoning ordinances, and other governing authorities to determine their effect on architectural designs. Coordinate various engineering, lighting, landscape, and specialty consultants through all project phases. Coordinate internal design work closely with Project Managers, Directors, and Partners. Prepare professional presentation packages for client meetings and other public meetings. Coordinate and prepare construction documents and specification. Assist in preparation and critique of marketing materials. Computer modeling skills required in Revit, Rhinoceros, V-Ray, Sketch-Up Pro, AutoCAD; proficiency with laser cutter and 3D printers to create detailed physical models Prepare drawings and plans for green building practices in compliance with LEED and Passive House requirements.

Requirements: NYS Architecture Registration, Professional Bachelor of Architecture Degree + 3 years related arch experience OR as a Registered Architect.
