Precast Panels

Continuing our exploration of acoustic applications, we have experimented integrating concrete into acoustically absorbent assemblies. At Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, the acoustic custom glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) sanctuary wall includes carefully designed ribbing to calibrate the range of acoustics in the space – from intimate conversations to large concerts and performances. For the renovations of Tate Library at Ethical Culture Fieldston School and the Vilcek Foundation, we designed custom glass fiber reinforced gypsum (GFRG) ceilings that integrate lighting and air-conditioning, while maximizing the continuity of the space.
