Colorado House’s walls of innovative corten shingles arise from the landscape in a rust color and relate to Telluride’s mining history. For two buildings at Brooklyn Bridge Park we used economical and expressive metallic grilles to define a jewel-like public boathouse and a serrated façade to animate a vehicular road for passersby below the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. On our Chicken Coop, aluminum shingles define the resilient coop with folded corners that further animate the structure throughout the day.
