Cooper Lighting: Architecture Research Office Decorative Pendants
The PrentaLux Architecture Research Office series of 3D-printed pendant lights celebrate form, translucency, and texture. Designed in collaboration with Cooper Lighting, the US division of Signify and the world’s leading lighting company, these three high-performance decorative luminaires were inspired by natural metamorphic forms. Together, the series continues ARO’s reputation for material invention in sculptural lighting.
Additive-manufactured with a sustainable use of resources in mind, these striking pendants are available in three sizes with distinct shapes, and woven, ribbed, and lined textures. They can be used individually or grouped in complementary arrangements – perfect for both large public spaces and intimate settings.
Nimbaro is a soft, tapered cylinder and features elegant tufted vertical pleats. The Nimbaro casts a warm, ambient glow that elevates any space.
Minaro’s ridged cylindrical form features fluted segments that create dynamic patterns of light and shadow.
Unaro’s asymmetrical and sculptural silhouette evokes movement and modernity.
The design team facilitated an iterative, rigorous process, leveraging the precision and speed of 3D printing, to explore the effects of light and layering a single extrusion of filament to create each fixture’s form.
